Programme
The Festival Academy's Beirut edition of the Atelier for Young Festival Managers took place from 21-27 March 2015 in Beirut, Lebanon. Hosted by the Beiteddine Art Festival, it brought together 36 young festival managers from 21 countries and 7 renowned festival directors from all over the world. They joined the growing network of then 300 Alumni from 63 countries. The 7 days were full of energy, exchanges, discoveries and established sustainable ties for the future.
Intense 7-day programme
The Atelier goes beyond traditional teaching practices; the carefully selected young programmers widened their horizons and perspectives on festivals and programming practices. They were able to enlarge and build a sustainable network which proves to be essential on the long-term.
Particular emphasis was placed on the artistic aspects of festival management, including:
- Artistic vision
- Political and social responsibility
- Internationalisation
- Networking renewal and sustainability
