“The unstoppable rotation continues. The inevitable change. The world is other. Rurality is activated as a territory for new practices. Through care, a new sound ecosystem is emerging from the cracks. From the local to the global.”

Open Call for Alumni of The Festival Academy

AADK Spain and The Festival Academy invite Alumni to be part of the group that will come together for 7 days (12-18 December 2023) to study in depth the ROTA Festival, the AADK residency platform and Centro Negra in Blanca, Spain.

This ‘Festival Visit’ follows a first pilot experience in Giortes Rokka (Crete, Greece) about which you can read more here. The visits aim to investigate how we exist within this world, how we relate to our environments, to our bodies, to other human beings and to major issues of our times. It researches the power of festivals in social transformation. It explores innovative organizational strategies and new ways of engagement (artists, communities, audiences, stakeholders etc.) of festivals taking place in remote regions.

Since 2016, AADK creates ROTA, an annual festival of experimental music and collective creation that aims to build new communities around sound, drawing a spectrum between traditional and post-industrial music.

To register, please, fill it in the registration form, explaining your expectations and motivations to take part of the Festival Visit.

Deadline to register: 15/11/2023
