Call for Session Proposals for 2nd Global Artivism Convening

We are delighted to announce the open call and our collaboration with the Global Artivism Convening taking place in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil, November 3-5, 2025.
The conference themed around "Embracing Cultural Activism for a Safe and Just World" will bring together artists and activists who engage with their work for social change. The Festival Academy is collaborating with the Global Artivism Conference to contribute with festivals as impactful tools for social change. Find more info about the convening here.
Artivists are invited to apply with their proposals for sessions in 9 categories. Preference will be given to interactive sessions that foster community dialogue. The requirements for submissions are that they are intersectional, community-driven, and speak powerfully to the themes of artivism.
Global Artivism is a movement that focuses on the intersection of art and activism, using creative expression to mobilize communities, challenge injustice, and influence policy while fostering solidarity across diverse cultures and regions. It brings together artists, activists, and organizations to collaborate, share ideas, and develop projects that inspire collective action and raise awareness about pressing global issues.
