Save the Date: Atelier 17-years-on Reunion will take place online on Tuesday, 14 November 2023

Dear community of The Festival Academy,

We have been asked many times by our entire community to bring everyone together, and to promote meetings among participants and experts from different Ateliers. So, together with our invaluable Alumni Steering Commitee, we are happy to host our first online event to connect our entire community of Alumni, festival leaders and cross-sector experts who participated in our Ateliers since their very first edition in 2006. Today, The Festival Academy is a global growing community of creative individuals  counting today 1400+ festival leaders from 100+ countries and all continents.

SAVE THE DATE: The Atelier 17-Years-On Reunion will take place online on Tuesday, 14 November 2023. The schedule will be between 8am and 8pm CEST, allowing you to join at various times based on your time zone.

The purpose of this gathering is to strengthen this unique community we have built together over the years following a need expressed by our community to connect with festival makers from other ateliers. The meeting includes networking, one on one meetings, thematic and regionally focused meet-ups,  the possibility to pitch a project to your peers and a space for alumni to share with peers, find partners, etc. We are currently working on the format of the event and we would like your input to tailor it as much as possible to your needs.

We would like to know from you:

  • Do you have a project, tool or collaboration opportunity you would like to pitch?
  • Do you have a suggestion about thematic approaches and groups?
  • Is there anything else you would you like this event to facilitate that is not mentioned above?
  • What do you need from this Alumni network? What can you offer?
  • Are you interested in helping to organise or co-ordinate the event?

We invite you to respond to these questions and register for the meeting before 10 October 2023. The programme for the reunion will be shared after analyzing and incorporating your feedback.

The event has a pay-what-you-can registration fee. You are free to decide what you can contribute, no obligation, any income generated by this event will go to a bursary fund to support next participants from under resourced and underrepresented regions or communities to take part in future Ateliers.

Thank you very much!

We look forward to reconnecting with you very soon!
